Showroom visit booking from your website: a guide for stores without an online shop
No online shop, but customers browse your models on your website? Let them book a showroom visit right from the page – no phone calls needed.
Kitchen studios, bathroom and furniture showrooms, opticians and bridal salons often have no online shop. Their website works as a catalogue: customers browse the models and then call or e-mail to ask when they can come. Online booking from a regular website turns that interest into a visit in a few clicks.
Why booking beats the phone
- No back-and-forth. Customers see free times and pick one right away – even in the evening or at the weekend.
- A prepared advisor. You know in advance which model it is about and what the customer needs.
- Time to prepare. With a minimum notice you can get samples ready or bring an item from the warehouse.
And customers still want the store: 48% of shoppers prefer to buy home furnishings in store, only 28% online (BigCommerce, 3,007 US shoppers, 2024; source: businesswire.com).
Where to put the button on your website
- On a model or collection page – “See it in our showroom”. Resovu recognises which page the customer came from.
- In the header or menu – “Book a visit”, so it is visible everywhere.
- On the Contact or Our stores page – where customers look for opening hours.
- Off the website – a link in your newsletter and on social media, a QR code on a flyer or in the shop window.
What to ask in the form
Two or three questions that help the advisor prepare are enough – for example the type of project, approximate dimensions, style or a rough budget. A longer form only puts people off.
How Resovu knows which model it is
When the customer clicks, it reads the page heading (or schema.org structured data) and saves the page address. In the booking and the e-mail you will see that the customer came from, say, the “Nordic kitchen” page. Resovu can also pre-fill the model into the form.
Setup in 4 steps
- Create a service, for example “Showroom visit”. Priced at 0, it shows as “Free”.
- Set your opening hours, advisors and a minimum booking notice.
- In Settings → Form fields, add your questions and switch on “Pre-fill from the web page”.
- Copy the “Booking for a product or page” code and paste it into your website – in WordPress, for example, into a “Custom HTML” block.
E-mail reminders (all plans) and SMS reminders (from the Starter plan) reduce forgotten visits.
Frequently asked questions
I don't have an online shop – will it work? Yes. All you need is a website where you can add HTML code: WordPress, your own site or a simple brochure website.
Will the customer leave my website? No. Booking opens in a window right on your page.
Can I put the button in the menu, not only on a model page? Yes. The booking then shows the page the customer clicked from.
How much does it cost? Booking and the on-site window are in every plan, Free included. There is no commission on bookings. Online card payments only carry the per-plan fee (0–1 %) plus Stripe's fees.
