Resovu Booking plugin is now on WordPress.org

Since 2 November 2026, the Resovu Booking plugin is listed in the official WordPress.org plugin directory. Until now, it was only available as a zip file from the Resovu admin. Now you can find it directly in WordPress, like any other plugin.

The plugin is free and released under the GPLv2 licence. The current version is 1.1.1. It requires WordPress 5.8 or later and PHP 7.4 or later. The plugin page is on WordPress.org.

How to install the plugin

In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New Plugin.
Search for “Resovu Booking”.
Click Install Now, then Activate.

The plugin may take a few days to appear in WordPress search. Until then, download it from the WordPress.org page or from the Resovu admin. Then upload it via Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.

After activation, open Settings → Resovu Booking and fill in two fields:

Your business address in Resovu – the part of the URL after resovu.com/. In Resovu, you will find it under Settings → Embed on website.
Booking language – one of the 9 languages, or “same as website”.

Form or button

You add booking to a page with a shortcode. The plugin offers two:

[resovu_booking] embeds the booking form directly in the page.
[resovu_button] adds a button. It opens the booking in a window, and the visitor stays on your website.

You can change the button text: [resovu_button text="Book an appointment"]. Without the text attribute, the button shows a default text in the booking language.

The shortcodes also accept optional attributes:

service="…" preselects a specific service.
context="auto" sends the title and address of the current page, such as a product page, along with the booking.

The plugin loads the script https://www.resovu.com/widget.js only on pages with a shortcode. It does not load on other pages. Form data goes to Resovu and to your business.

Services and accommodation

The plugin works for both parts of Resovu. It detects which form to show based on your business settings.

Services and appointments – the customer chooses a service, a time and, if relevant, a staff member.
Accommodation – the guest chooses a unit and dates in a calendar. They see the price per night and the total price.

Languages

Booking is available in 9 languages: Czech, Slovak, English, German, Polish, Hungarian, Spanish, Norwegian and French. You choose the language in the plugin settings. The “same as website” option uses the language of your website.

When to use the form and when the button

The form suits a dedicated page where booking is the main content. The button suits pages where booking supports other content – for example a service, room or product page. With the service attribute or context="auto", you link the booking to a specific page.
